Blue-ray...worth it?

Hey i was wondering what some of the pros and cons of a blue ray burner are? and when would be the best time to buy them if i were to buy one?

Blu-Ray will be outdated within the next 5 years. Don't waste your money.

no i dont think it will be outdated within 5 years. but a burner is not worth it just yet. discs are not cheap, so that just adds to the cost of burning blu ray discs. if you want stuff on blu ray (games or movies) just get them second hand from rental shops! cheap and cheerful!

get a blue-ray multi-player for your computer...screw the burners, not worth it..

If you are movie buff and have hd tv...get the player in your comp, its cheapest way to go. Or ps3...the standalone players are ripoffs!

i guess if you buy a blu ray right now then you'll be popular for having one.. but now everybody has it yet.. maybe wait for while before buying one..
