The only way to do it is with some kind of disc, if you deleted the recovery partition. You could buy it from a store but that's gonna run you $100. What are you using the laptop for? You could always install ubunto.
 
With Acer US they have free support and they supply the recovery disc free. In the UK you must pay for support and pay over £50 for the disc. Well now I know... :(
Don't know why they can't supply it free... and I just pay for shipping.

What do I have to strip out of the laptop to be able to use my own recovery disc? If I replaced the hard disk in laptop will it be ok?

Okay am logged into Windows now :D
But got another problem :mad:

Anywhere I go.. my computer, control panel, explorer etc it will say "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I can loan applications such as IE fine. But not go anywhere..

any ideas for fix please?
 
Please use the correct recovery cd for that specific model of pc.

Sir, they will charge me £50 and I am soo close to resolving this problem.
I can access CMD, regedit, MSCONFIG just need the command please :(

I can access my documents, control panel etc in safe mode but not normal windows. Please I am sure there is a way around this...
