Blue Screen help :S

Well in the past 3 days when i idle a while from my computer it tends to black screen. I sense it started ever since i plug'd in a external HD 2tb.

edit: Also my windows 7 has been running flawless the past year

6gig ram

Look in the event viewer for any signs of errors. I'm guessing most likely graphics driver as the latest ATI drivers are causing issues for people. I had to revert back to year old drivers so my system runs stable, now it might be an issue with my card i don't know. My son has the same card so I might switch it out and see if it does it with his too.

But I would basically start by updating your drivers after you look in event viewer.

If the external HD is still plugged in, then try unplugging it. Could be that the HD had a virus, or is just faulted. Also, since one of the files associated is a temp file, try deleting your internet temp files, and all other temp files. You don't need them anyways.

Turned out it was the external harddrive that kept on blue screening my comp when i idle for a long time. Also i found other problems with the eventviewer that also help'd me fix afew programs.
