Blue screen of death and no internet

Hi, new user here sorry if this is in the wrong section as I couldn't see one specifically for problems. I am getting a blue screen after about 10 seconds and the computer restarts. This first happened after I did a manual restart (there was no problem just randomly did a restart) and I now get the blue screen every time and internet shows red cross, blue screen is only for a split second so I can't read it. In safe mode there is no blue screen but also no internet.

Specs

Intel core i5-4430 3ghz
8gb ram
Ocz 120gb ssd
Asus z87-k motherboard
Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

Something else to mention is that I used DBAN on my old ssd and ruined it, I didn't know I wasn't meant to use DBAN on an ssd...

I got a refurbished ssd from ocz as replacement and when I installed windows I had to manually install the motherboard drivers for network etc which I've never had to do before.

I've read that using DBAN on an ssd can effect other components as well? I think I need to replace mobo or my ssd, or both. I don't think I have a virus.

When I have a chance to back up my files I will re install windows to see if this does the trick but any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

I doubt using Dban will ruin other components as its only used on hard drives. Look in device manager to see any entries need a driver or if you have any with yellow exlamation/question marks next to them.

We can see what is the specific cause of the bluescreen. Do the following.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Download from a different computer and transfer using a usb flash drive.

Thanks johnb, device manager has a yellow exclamation mark on the following

Realrek PCIe GBE Family controller
WAN Miniport (IP)
WAN Miniport (IPv6)
WAN Miniport (Network Monitor)
AMDA00 Interface

This may be bad news.

Zip up the following files and attach them to your next reply.

C:\Windows\Minidump\032915-2527-01.dmp
C:\Windows\Minidump\032915-3182-01.dmp

The first 2 bluescreens in the list are due to registry error. The other ones may be memory or driver issue.

On those entries in device manager, right click on each one and click on uninstall and then reboot the pc and recheck device manager. Those drivers should reinstall themselves after reboot.

This just also may be windows corruption and you just need to reinstall windows all together.

Here are the two minidump files, I'm backing up all my things now so I can reinstall windows pretty soon and then fingers crossed, thanks for taking the time to help :good:

I did a system restore to one week ago, and managed to use secure erase to wipe the ssd and have now reinstalled windows but I'm getting no internet even after installing the network drivers from the CD.

Does this sound like motherboard issues? I used the ocz tool to check the ssd and it says it's running well.

Those minidump files were inconclusive. Look in the device manager for any entries still needing a driver.

Device manager has no errors but the network drives that i listed before aren't even there anymore.. they disappeared. I installed the latest drivers from USB but it said it can't find my network or ethernet controller.

This doesn't make any sense. So there is nothing listed under network controllers in device manager? Go into the bios to make sure the network controller is enabled. If not, then enable it and if it is then yeah you have a bad motherboard.

Yes all the network ports disappeared, I've just fitted a new motherboard and problem solved! I guess the network controller on the old one died, I wonder if anyone will buy the old faulty motherboard on Ebay.

Thanks for your time and help!
