Thanks for the response. Here's an amateur question - what's the easiest way to update my drivers? I have a custom built computer that a friend built for me...do I look up the drivers by searching the Motherboard model #? Or, can I go into Device Manager and choose "update driver"?

Thanks much.

I thought we went over this in your other thread? 2 of those refer to the firewire driver and the other one refers to AVG antivirurs. Get rid of AVG and install AVAST and one will go away. The other one, update the firewire driver, if possible. If not, use different software. Could be the program itself causing the firewire issue. Is there an update available for the program you use?

Thanks for the response.

I got rid of AVG and installed Avast. Didn't realize it was a trial version but might be worth it to purchase. Which version do you have?

All you need to do is register it with a name and email address and you will get updates for a full year, at the end of the year you just reregister to get the updates. When you load avast, on the main screen you should see where it says register.
