hi all, i have an old IBM thinkpad which died on me years ago, i recenty found it in the attic and was wondering how to fix it (old data i would like to keep stored on it) i downloaded something called pcunleashed on my other laptop which says it can fix the ibm, question is how do i get it from one laptop to the other (which crashes as soon as it loads up)? cheers in advance

are you looking to get teh data off of the IBMs hard drive, or put data back on the Hard drive?

Your best bet would be to just remove the hard drive from the dead laptop and use an external connector to plug it into your working computer to retrieve the data.

I would not trust software that claims it can fix a computer, might be malware so be careful, if you want to fix it ebay a replacement hard drive and install it. Then install Windows or if you want to install a Linux OS Like openSuse or Linux Mint.
