My computer shut down. I believe the problem has been the paid version of bit defender. I could be wrong but ever since then, my computer shut down. I'm am now using Avast. The problem still exist.

Before bit defender I was using paid Norton for a year and not had any problems. That is why I made the connection. I could be wrong though.

Went to youtube to see what the problem is.

Went to minidump folder but couldn't open it.

Downloaded bluescreenview

The driver that cause it is: tcpip.sys

Thanks, all advice is appreciated.

Run this so we can see what is going on.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Zip up the following file and attach it to your next post.

C:\Windows\Minidump\010316-13244-01.dmp

I'll debug it to get the actual issue. Most likely its a specific program making it look like tcpip.sys is causing the issue.

Thanks John : )

I really appreciate the help.

I'm not sure what you mean by zip up the following file and attach to my next post.

How do I zip it up?

I guess I go to C:\Windows\Minidump\010316-13244-01.dmp

and what do I do next to ZIP it up?

I'm quite new to this.

Thanks ; )

If you have windows 7 or above, you can right click on that file and click on send to compressed zipped folder. You might have to copy the minidump file to your desktop first. Then go to your reply here and click on upload a file, direct the location to where your zipped folder is stored.
