Blue Screen of Death

What is the easiest way to diagnose the issue causing the blue screen? It doesn't happen very often, and I am not always actually doing anything on the computer when it happens. Plus I just rebuilt my computer, so I have just installed tons of new drivers.

okay, the best thing i can tell you is that you have to reinstall windows XP, because it cant handle a huge hardware change without shitting the bed

it rarely does it? then its not winxp taking a dump on your new hardware cause "its not the same thing as ive always had!!!"

Yeah, it rarely does it. I was worried about it taking a dive when I did the rebuild but it has been pretty reliable, but every once in a while windows just quits, gives me the blue screen and restarts. Then it goes on like nothing happened.

LOL! Any way, there can be a number of problems: overheating, disconnected hardware, bad data sectors, system crash, etc...

RAM is the most likely cause along with overheating or a major hardware change. If you can get the ID of the BSoD (turn off automatic restart in the advanced tab of system properties menu) and post it up or search for it on google you might get somewhere.
