Blue stop screen??? Help!!!!!!!!!

alright i got past the bios by setting the cpu frequency to 1200mgz. there is defently a operationg system but a old one. windows 2000 professional. says checking file system on :c and then goes to blue screen saying

***STOP: 0x0000001E (0x0000005,0x0AEC10CF,0x00000000,0x0AEC10CF)
KMODE_EXEMPTION_NOT_HANDLED

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen restart your computer, if this screen appears again follow these steps:

Check to see if you have adequate disk space, if a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardare vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS Memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

Refer to your Getting started manual for more information on troubleshooting stop errors.

I tried safe mode and it went to the blue screen. any ideas on what i could do? i do have another operatng system that i could install if its easier?? any help would be great, thanks guys
 
Is the cpu to be set to that frequency?

0x0000001E: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
The Windows kernel detected an illegal or unknown processor instruction. A Stop 0x1E condition can be caused by invalid memory and access violations similar to those that generate Stop 0xA errors.

0xA errors are caused by either hardware or drivers attempting to address higher IRQ Level addresses then they are supposed to and thus crashing the system.

i got no idea what it is suppose to me set to. but it worked. lol how do i find out the cpu thing. everything u said how do i find it all???? cheers
 
If you can set that cpu back and see if that brings stability. Without seeing it first hand it is difficult to say because there is little information to go by.

Knowing the make and model of the cpu would be a big help.
 
changed the cpu mgz and a different message came up on the blue screen saying.

*** STOP: 0x0000001E (0xC0000001E,0xEB40A2BB, 0x00000001,0x00000008)
KMODE_EXEMPTION_NOT_HANDLED
*** Address EB40A2BB base at EB400000, Datestamp 3a9eeb8a - pci.sys

(AND THEN THE SAME AS ORIGIONAL POST)

i would get it for you but the heat sink is very different and not sure how to get it out. will give it another go
 
you wont get the cpu info from under the heat sync, you've got to get back into the bios and tell us what's listed there

there are now 3 threads for this issue that can be merged
