blue tooth wireless

Im using wireless for the laptop and im curious about the radar screen or what ever it is. it shows everybody in the area and my connection. Could someone satisfy my curiosity about what im looking at and what it means in layman terms.

one connection will say:
(9) 2WIRE425
00-1D-5QA-72-F7-A1
Infrastructure 2.4gh ch4
shows padlock (secure)

the part i was mostly interested in was (00-1D) and infrastructure.
and the channel part.

Sounds like it's showing the wireless 802.11 networks in your area. The 00-1D is a MAC address, most likely that of the router.
