Bluetooth Dongle

This may be old news but I thought I'd post anyway. I have an HP Pavilion notebook w/o Bluetooth. I ordered a Bluetooth USB Dongle from TechXDirect for $7.95. It came with a Bluetooth DVD. I installed the Bluetooth Dongle in a USB port, loaded the DVD, the system "discovered" and installed the Bluetooth and I now have Bluetooth working on my HP running Vista. So simple but hey, it works!

Yes I'm using the Vista default drivers. I was amazed that the whole process was done w/o any problem. The dongle is quite small. It extends 5/16" from the USB port and is half moon shaped. Ebay has a ton of selections...some costing $1.00 + shipping from China. I opted to order one from a firm in Minn.

i just ordered 3 of them from china for a buck a piece plus shipping. since i ordered 3, they gave me $.94 off my order. it'll take a week or 2, but i'm not really in need of one, just something i'd like to have. did you notice the smaller ones like that don't have the range a larger one does? these little ones are 20ft instead of 100ft, fine if you're gonna use it for mouse and keyboard and stuff. if you need the range though, get a bigger one.
