Just wondering. Is it safe to leave my bluetooth on all the time and visable to all. My phones a LG KG800.
Iv'e been told people can hack into my phone even without using a passcode/number.

Thanks in advance. :D

It is possible for people to gain access to your device through Bluetooth, however I would say at the moment, the risk of that happening is very small.

My advice would be to just have it on when you need it (of course it drains the battery having it on constantly as well). It's not in the same danger category as having an unencrypted Wi-Fi network, but the risk isn't zero.

no its not reli safe, i got a couple of java apps to detect stuff like that. but major reason is that it drains the battery life, so dont reli turn it on until u need it.

I read in the paper that a high street bank is trialling adverts, by picking up anyone walking past with bluetooth enabled you will receive a text advert from that bank.

Just imagine if that spread, although you could make your phone invisible I suppose.
