I have seen this bluetooth wire less desktop networking device u attach on USB on PC stores its brandless, not sure to buy them, just 300 pesos very cheap stuff about $6, is this a better than your usual network device?

Bluetooth has a very short range, I would not use it unless you know you will be with in 6-10 foot of the source, direct line of sight.

Now, I've never really used bluetooth, but I know a direct line of site isn't required... How else was I able to pick up some random cell phones in my classroom from the front of the foom(facing forward)

However, it is only for short range, as stated. I beleive it's main purpose is basically like USB... To connect peripherals to your computer, not so much network between two machines. If you want a wireless network, go wifi.

Let us not forgot, bluetooth speeds are only a little above 56KB/s, aka dialup. Whereas WIFI can get you upto 108MB/s.
