BlueTooth software on a laptop

Hello all,
I'd NX6400 HP laptop, it has BlueTooth built-in,
well, the software that come with it, when I try to search for devices it found everything, I tried to connect to some phone, I double click on it, and it ask for me to enter the pin, but it won't recognize it.
if there is a solution it would be perfect,
and I tried to download the BlueSoleil software , but it told me, no devices inserted.

i dont know a ton about bluetooth, but i do have it built into my HP dv9000, and i have successfully paired both my cellphone and my bluetooth earpiece to it.
i guess the only help i might offer is: do you know the correct pin? theyre pretty basic if you havent already configured them...my motorola earpiece is 0000 and phone is 0000 too. i think my dads LG phone is 9999.
i might suggest you try to pair a couple different devices, just to make sure no software/hardware is busted...:rolleyes:
