What are they up to with Bluetooth speeds these days?
I ordered a dongle with a little adjustable antenna that’s transmits 100+ meters I think it said version 1.1, was that a good idea?
Thanks

You wont get the 3 times faster transmission speed (up to 10 times in certain cases),Lower power consumption through a reduced duty cyclem, Simplification of multi-link scenarios due to more available bandwidth, and Further improved BER (bit error rate) performance that bluetooth 2.0 has, bluetooth 2.0 is backwards compatiable with older versions, but i'm not sure if a 1.1 dongle can work with 2.0 devices.

i believe the 1.1 vs the 2.0 is the usb adapter itself.. not your bluetooth...

the bluetooth.. the thing about them is that their range is fairly short.. compared to something like wifi ...

but you saying that, usb and all.. I assume it is supposed to allow your pc/laptop to have bluetooth capabilities? like an adapater to allow bluetooth devices like your cell phone, pda, etc.. to contact w/ ur pc/laptop.

I cant seem to get it to work I’m new to blue tooth I know a little about computers but it doesn’t work right, I thought you plugged it in and do a little connection initialization and its done but its stubbin the phone cant never see the pc but the pc can some times see the phone the software on the pc used to connect it is very strange and difficult to use.

Umm..., Bluetooth is up to v1.2 and a range of 33ft. USB is at v2.0 over 1.1. As far as the speed, I'm not sure what the speed of v1.2 is over v1.1...
