Boot error

Hi

I had Both Linux and Windows on my computer so I had that choice screen which OS do I want to boot...

When I removed Linux while booting appears:

GGRUB loading...
ERROR 17

What I have to do is boot GNOME from CD and commence boot from hdd1 (Windows)

Is that some part of BIOS missing? If yes how do I get it back?
If not how do I patch this error?

Assuming C:\ is your boot drive, put your windows CD in and boot off it. Enter the recovery console and type fixboot C:\

This will restore the windows boot sector code.

Tried it... But failed. Same error ocures

Boot to your XP run the recovery console and try fixmbr if it still doesnt boot after that run the fixboot again

Try fixmbr then fixboot in RC. That should help.
