Hello,
I am trying to reinstall windows 2000. For this I will need to boot from an external CD-ROM. My laptop is the Toshiba Protege 3480CT. I have contacted Toshiba's tech support. The following were advised:
1) esc -> F1 then choose the proper boot sequence; i.e CD-ROM first.
This did not work.
2) press C (the letter C on the keyboard) as soon as the computer starts up so that it will boot from the external CD-ROM.
This did not work.
3) press [F12] so that the external CD-ROM will be booted from to install Windows 2000.
This did not work.
My external CD/DVD drive is a brand new IOMEGA which is attached to the laptop via a lan replicator. For those who are not familiar with the protege 3480ct, it is a bare-bone computer; i.e. no internal CD-ROM nor FDD.
Any how, I would truly appreciate a reply on this issue.
Regards.
