Boot in BIOS question

If I burn my backup Windows ISO into DVD, can it still load in BIOS?

I created an image of my Windows XP CD. If I burn it into my empty DVD, can it still boot up during BIOS to install?

You mean during POST. BIOS has nothing to do with it. And yes, it should boot just fine.

There is nothing illegal in creating a backup so long as you are not circumventing code.

Honestly, no one I have found knows, but you bought and paid for it. It doesn't fall under the same laws as a DVD movie. I heard that Microsoft would give you another disk if yours got lost of destroyed as long as you had you serial# and a small shipping fee. Why pay them, just back it up. With the advantage thing now nobody else can run your copy.

I hope that helps people make up their minds.
