Boot Sector?

I recently lost a boot sector on one of my HDD's. I got all the data off, but I have a question. Can you make a copy of the boot sector of a HDD and restore it if it fails or gets corrupted? Another Question is does the boot sector stay the same or does it change as you add data to the HDD?

What screen do you see when you boot? There are ways to re write the boot files but you would need a windows PE boot device or a Windows install cd.

It was not the drive that windows was on. It would not show up in my computer, but it would show up in the bios. I fixed it this time. I was just wondering if there was a way to make a backup of the boot sector just in case it happened again.
