i have an older ibm think pad running me the problem i have is that it takes forever to boot i am running the minimal software on it due to the limited hdd space (4.63 gig) i have 192 ram and a 450 proseser it runs programs plenty fast for waht i use the boot time just sucks.the primary use for it is my job requries the use of a lot of system maps and a lot of field timeso i don't want to use my good laptop in this manor due to the harsh environment it is in.
it takes a little over a minute to boot and i don't carry a power inverter in my worl truck so leaving it on all day is not an option .any suggestions?
