I just upgraded my motherboard 1 of my computers from a Gigabyte K8N to a Foxconn NF4SK8AA so I have RAID 5 capabilities. I took apart everything and put it back together, and now when I boot up my machine All that comes up is my Video Card Specs on the DOS screen, than it just stays on that screen. I've tried unplugging the 2x 500GB SATA's.

Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3700+
2GB RAM
XFX Nvidia 6600GT
160GB IDE HDD
2x 500GB SATA HDD
Foxconn NF4SK8AA

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appriciated

You do know that everytime you change motherboards you must Reformat windows yes?

Windows and Motherboards are not swappable, Each Motherboard has different settings.

Yes I do know that, but I can even get past the post screen to even access the boot priority or the bios. Ive tried to reset them but no luck

clear your CMOS and try it. if it still doesnt work try uninstalling all but one stick of RAM.

do you get any beeps when you try to boot?

I only have 1 stick of ram in there right now

Ive tried reseting it, and I was able to access the bios and I set the time and date again and than restarted and there was no display what so ever. ive ruled out a bad vid card sicne ive tried 3 different 1's. Than I just shut down the comp, and boted it up again and than it just stays on the post screen. There was been no beeping what so ever since Ive ben doing this I could try and swap the id card in the other pci-e slot and see if that does anything. also i was thinking about just reseting the bios again and than just going to reinstall XP without going into the bios

well, if you have the option to reinstall windows XP that means you are getting through the POST, and it most likely is something wrong with windows, not a hardware problem at all, although i guess it could be the harddrive. if you dont have any valuable files that you cannot lose, i guess the next step would be reinstalling windows, although i believe there is a repair utility for windowsXP

wel I got to the screen where I can repair windows but this is were well i get lost cause i never really knew how to select the windows installation and than repair it

ok well i got the repair goin and i did a chkdsk /p and said found 1 or many errors so than i use chkdsk /r and its doing its thing and is stayin at 52% and well stay there for the past 10min but the status led on my tower is on so its doin something

ok so it has completed the chkdsk and i rebooted but now it wont display anything on my monitor. ive tried using different monitors, and also different video cards. and different video cables. Even if I get it booted now, it just goes into post screen and stays there.

IF you replace the motherboard, you must completely reinstall Windows. Repairing wont work, you need to reformat and reinstall. Set the BIOS to boot from your CD drive and put in the Windows installation disk.

so i was able to run the cd boot of xp and was able to formate and start the windows setup but when it had to reboot, there was no video display again
