I am using xp pro on a laptop. When I boot the computer it hangs if I have my external usb drive connected. Is there a way to adjust the bias so i can leave it connected all the time?
You'll want to go into the BIOS and look for something that says "Boot Order" or similar. If you put "hard drive" above "USB device" it should solve the problem.
