Boot W7

Currently when I boot W7 on my PC it asks me to select from a Gnu page which OS (Commodore or windows), then when I select windows another screen pops up and asks me to choose Windows 7 or Vista. How do I get rid of these steps and boot straight to a W7 desktop? Thank you

To boot straight to windows 7 then you would have to remove the commodore and vista os from your bootloader, but then you wouldn't be able to boot into the other OS's. Are you trying to get rid of the other 2 OS's completely or you just want to boot to windows 7 without hitting any keys?

When running 7 you could always go into the bootloader settings and just disable the screen prompt for which OS you want. Just be sure Windows 7 is set as the first OS.

As far as going from Commodore to Windows 7, you'd have to set Windows 7 as the top priority when running Commodore.

Hi, Thank you. How do I go about accomplishing this? I have W7 set as the primary. I do need to know how to disable the screen prompt.

Not sure on how to do anything with your Commodore OS, but I can help with Win7/Vista

Right click "Computer" and select "Properties". From the system properties window, go into the left pane and choose "Advanced system settings".

The new window will pop up in the Advanced tab. Startup and Recovery is on the bottom - click Settings in that box.

You'll then see this window:

Make sure Windows 7 is selected as the default operating system, then un-tick the first box "Time to display list of operating systems:".

If for some reason you need to boot into Vista, just press F8 before the Windows boot screen and you'll be able to select it. Another option is to just reduce the time from 30-seconds to maybe 2 or 3 instead of hiding the screen altogether.

I haven't tried the Commodore OS yet, so I can't help you with that.
