I just installed windows onto my computer, but I am having a problem just having it boot up without using a CD. I installed it all the way, but it still say it requires a boot CD to run. I went into the Bios to have it boot from the Hard Drive first, but still no luck.

I'm using XP by the way.

Yes, I installed it all the way through and it asks me for a CD to boot from. I went in and disconnected my disk drive and made the hard drive the slave and it booted up without a CD.

It is kind of a moot point as of now. My dad saying that there were to many cords jumbled decided to "Fix it" and he fried it.

try this

you may need to reinstall with the 6 boot discs, but i bet you dont have another computer handy to make them
