Booting issue

I just installed a new Mother Board "K8 Triton Nvidia SLI Nforce 4" and a AMD 64 3500+ chip and a XFX Nvidia Geforce 6800 Extreme SLI video card.

Every time I try and start my computer it gets to just before the Windows XP Boot window and restarts every time. I went through my Bios and changed the things I new needed to be changed and made sure that my Computer was running PCIe, but I'm at a loss as to what would keep causing the restart. I'm wondering if I should try re-installing XP Pro?

I was running a Geforce 4 4200 TI AGP x8 Video Card before this on a GigaByte Mother Board.

Anybody know or have any tips I could try to fix this problem?

Yes, definetly reinstall windows after you have major upgrades such as a motherboard. But as a side note, why is everyone buying the 6800extreme!??! It's kinda of a ripoff.

It was only 135$ seemed cheap enough for me and it had Duel DVI out-puts, I didn't want a AVG out put When I'm only gonna buy LCD monitors from now on.

I think you are referring to "DVI" not AVG. AVG is an antivirus program. S-Video is another common output on many models. With the swapout of your old board and cpu a repair instaill of XP would certainly be needed if not a deletion of the current installation. That would wipe the three main directories Window, Program Files, and DocumentsandSettings to create new ones. The repair install method will preserve your current software installations as well as all of your current settings by replacing only the essential system files and of course see the correct board drivers are in.
(gee I only paid $80 for an MSI Radeon X1300 Pro that kicks tail.)

I figured that much out myself. :P You just seemed to having a typo kind of day. So much for dual monitors if you don't dual vga output.
