booting problem

Help everyone!
I modified the boot.ini(notepad file from the edit options of advanced tab of computer properties) I was intending to make the Windows XP home edition the default boot but i did something wrong with that and now my windows donot boot. On the OS selection screen it just shows the Recovery console and XP professional (which does not work). Is there anyway i can boot the home edition.....
