I setup my BIOS and ready to intall XP, but when I get up to the point where is says:

Boot From CD:
_

It just stops there I have the XP Pro CD in the top drive slot (I have to ROM drives, top is DVD, bottom is CD) What can I do?

In the BIOS where it has the boot priority, change all 3 options to "CD-ROM". Now put the CD into the top drive and try again, see what happens.

check all cables and wires are seated in the slots and holes correctly, reset the bios if you have an option to. Load the fail-safe defaults if u have an option to

when it says boot from CD....usually you have to hit a key to initialize it, this may be a goofy suggestion but you never know.

I meant clean the XP disc. The devices, I have no clue how it could be interfering, but just to help narrow down your suspects, you might want to disconnect devices that aren't being changed in any way, such as the hard-drives that you're not installing XP onto.

what wkey would that be hmmm? lol

he was saying you often need to hit a key, not one in particular, any key should do, try hitting a key while its saying "booting from cd" and see what happens

Alright new problem. my SATA HDD isnt working correctly. I can see in on my Nvidad Rad manager and the Raid BIOS but I cant get it to work. It is connected correctly as I have reconnected it about 8 times already. What can I do?

Ive tried booting with the XP Pro CD and when I try to press F6 it doesnt respond. It only responded to F2 and well thats the only other option.

(Don't know about XP setup, but) Have you tried downloading the SATA drivers and installing them from a floppy disk? I'm actually, literally, right in the middle of doing that with my new 100 gig HDD. I had a (semi) working hard drive with 98se, and it couldn't recognize the drive because SATA requires special drivers.
