Booting Up HELP

Alright, I had that same problem with about 14 different floppy drives throughout the ages (it gets really irritating). Did you buy the hard-drive seperate from the other stuff, and if so, do you have the disc that came with it? With my new hard-drive the disc that it came with had a program that partitioned/formatted the drive (I loaded from the CD), then my OS recognized the drive, and my motherboard driver disk had the necessary drivers already on it. If you bought all the components seperately, you might want to check the driver/software disk(s) that came with MOBO and HDD.

Make sure one of your Hd is the Master and the other one is the slave !
so do the CDroms!
may be the cd is not a startup disk

The thing is NVIDIA RAD program sees my SATA HDD and when I put in the XP CD on bootup it showed the SATA HDD and the IDE HDD and I tried to formate it that way, but it still didnt work, I have the SATA set as the master and the IDE as the slave. As for my CDROM's I took out one of them so I only have 1. Yes I bought the HDD seperate from the other hardware and I do have the CD it came with. It also comes with a fomate/partition program, but XP doesnt even recgonize it on the My Coputer Window. I look at my HardWare Devices window and it shows on the SCSI and RAID Controllers. Ill check again if I can get it working from the MOBO and HDD CD's
