Hi guyz not sure if this is the right place for this problem ,

When i plug my desktop in it powers up but shuts off withing seconds and i cant even reset or nothing , i unplug from the wall and try again and the same thing happens over and over until about the 8th time and it actually boots up ? i have that screen that says this comp has failed to boot would u like to boot the comp to the last known configuration { or something like that } its really getting on my nerves now everything is pluged in correctly { i think } what could this problem be please reply in kind . oogh the comp is about 2/3 years old .

yes tried everything , after the 8th try of booting up the comp works fine everything stays on but the next day it happens over again .

Most likely faulty hardware such as hard drive, memory. I've even seen faulty molex connectors do this. First though, try resetting the cmos by unplugging power from the power supply, remove the cmos battery from the motherboard and then press the power button on the front of the case a few times to discharge any remaining power and wait a minute. Then reinsert the battery, reconnect cable to power supply and try booting up. If that don't work then you need to start changing parts, which the power supply would be first.

oh bloody hell another problem happened last night , the dreaded blue screens tried everything to boot back to windows but nothing , tried this morning and after about 9 attemps to boot it worked , so could it still be a simple cmos reset { battery } any suggestions before this computer blows up again .

You can try the cmos reset to see if that solves the issue. Would be good to see what the code off the blue screen was though.
