Bootup Problem

When I bootup, after my XP screen the screen goes black and freezes.

I usually restart a couple times and it goes black, pauses, and starts up.



What do I do to fix this?

One thing to look at is video drivers. At other times you may see a black screen with a flashing cursor in the upper corner. Have you installed any updates lately? Once in awhile some drivers won't go on fully.

That was stalling Windows at boot? You can disable the Steam: Source engine from autoloading with Windows in the msconfig utility's startup group. I've never seen Steam stall Windows before however.
