Borderlands

Haven't played it...don't plan on it. never really buy games when they first come out anyways.


To me though from the screenshots I've seen, I'd say it looks like a cell shaded cross of halo, final fantasy, and mercenaries.
 
lol. I don't wanna be a critic but looking at the cover of the game makes me not want to play it for some reason.
 
I have it and I cant even begin to describe it. I haven't been able to get off since it came out. A friend and I are going through the game together and we have about 20 hours racked up. Its one of the best games I have ever played and the all time best co-op game ever.... by far.

Yeah, I will definitely be getting this game. I have been hooked on the trailer for weeks.

Looks like a great co-op game..

Yes, it has 2 player split screen co-op on the Xbox itself and also 4 person internet co-op. But you can play with two, three, or 4 on the internet if you like.
 
I just stole my buddies copy installing it now.

This is why I wont buy it for myself...will let you know what I think later. I have had several errors because of the anti-pirate crap they added so I am being forced to install it like one to play a legit copy (same story different game).
 
Well small update on what I think of the game so far.

Game is a neat idea but oddly utterly boring. They reuse the same fetch quests a LOT after level 20.
Siren rather sucks and her abilities don't match her special ability or any game style other then Rambo.
Graphics are crappy in the sense that it looks like a 2D world....I can only hope this wont get popular.
Storyline is creepy....got some creepy Asian chick that did a Michael Jackson (aka white wash) talking about a vault you have no idea wtf is.
This is like a trailer park version of Fallout 3....there is even bobblehead looking items you can loot sometimes that give you $200+ in cash.

Glad I didn't buy it but borrowed it instead. :good:

I have just got back from one of my friends who has it and I don't like it. I played it for maybe 2 or 3 hours and thought it was quite good, then it got so samey and boring
 
Yeah I am currently level 26 and I am not sure what makes me feel worse....my Scarlet Fever or this game.

Worse part is farming doesn't seem to provide much results....I spent 6 levels farming a few select "badass" mobs / boss type mobs (aka huge life gauges) and hardly pulled anything worth while.


Though I did finally find a worth while sniper rifle and shotgun so now I destroy a entire camp without issue.

I started a new character and got to level 15 and had the same issue, even beating baddasses and badmothers with my friends character too, we were getting crap drops. The only decent thing I got was an automatic assault rifle which ate ammo but dealt crap loads of dps, and a sniper with explosive element thing on it and huge damage per shot.

Which character did you go as?
 
Lilith and I kinda regret it...most of her talents make her a melee based character where my play style is more sniper based.

lol, should have gone with the beardy sniper fella ;) that is who i went with and he gets a bird that you can chuck at the enemy and do loads of damage and if you put your skill points in the tree with the bird you can make it give you health back and stuff when it attacks
