Recently bought a Dell GX520 on ebay. Received it today and it wont turn on. Figured I'd check and see if anyone has any suggestions of what the problem might be before I message the seller. When I press the power button nothing happens at all. I tried a different power cable, same result so that is not the problem. The "AUX_PWR" light inside turns on when the power cable is plugged in so it gets some kind of response. I really don't have enough computer tech knowledge to know if any plug inside is is out of place. Any ideas of what to look for? thanks.

Is this a new machine? If so, I would contact the seller and see if he will do anything for you. Did the auction state everything was working on it? The seller should make good on it.
You may want to open up the case and make sure nothing came unplugged during shipping process. Maybe you could take a pic of the inside of it and post it here.

Nothing looked loose or unplugged to me. Tried to take a pic but it really didn't come out clear enough to post. It wasn't new, an ex floor model from a store that had been refurbished and was supposed to be ready for use right out of the box. I plan on contacting the seller tonight, just figured I'd check here first.

One thing you could try is to clear the cmos. I'm not sure about this model but some motherboards have a 2 or 3 pin header that would have cmos somewhere around it. If it has a 2 pin header, you just have to use something like a screwdriver to short the 2 pins. If it has a 3 pin header, it should have a jumper connecting 2 pins. You would just move it to the other 2 pins and press the power button and put it back.
Another way to clear the cmos is to remove the battery, unplug the psu, and hit the power button. The battery is about the size of a quarter on the motherboard.
I just had a desktop do the same thing as yours. It would do nothing when I hit the power button. It turns out the jumper on the 3 pin header was in the wrong spot.
