So I decided to buy a new router today since I wanted to get an N one as my old Linksys-G was getting ready to die after many years.
I got a D-Link DIR-825.
Everything was super easy to setup, its a great unit. Also, a sweet extra on this router is the ability to plug in a usb hard drive, printer, or other device and share amongst all of us here!! awesomeness
however, I'm just wondering about the enhanced speeds I am getting.
Wired was 100.0 Mbps ---> Now it's 1.0Gbps (Which is SIKK in my opinion)
and Wireless was 54.0 Mbps ---> Now it's 130.0 Mbps (Which is a nice boost but I saw people getting more, like 300.0Mbps and even as high as 600.0 Mbps.
Are my upgraded speeds normal? Should wifi be able to go higher?
Any insight is appreciated..not that I'm unhappy, in fact, I'm quite impressed and so far satisfied but obviously if I can go higher--I'd like to.
