My uncle just bought a laptop last night for me with his yemeni friend (in Saudi). it's an Asus K43S 4 gb ram Intel core i5. I went outside planning to get the Lenevo with the same specs cuz I never thought I would find the Asus for i5. there was the i5 with 6 gb ram with 620 gb instead of 500 at a different shop with only 30 bucks difference. Would that mean that the i5 was overpriced?

So when I first tried out the Asus the internet wasn't working properly (sites were not fully loading or were not loading at all) until I tweeked it to high performance. And when I click the virtual camera button nothing even loads.

This is Saudi Arabia and so I would have to go out of my way to get things checked etc. Thus what's the best thing to do?

The price of the laptop my uncle spoiled me with was 700 bucks. It's more expensive than the lenevo which is wierd cuz I thought lenovo's were more expensive than Asus.

VLC is kinda playing movies a bit unsmooth and GOM has no sound.

I'm just a regular user but i think it's time to start building my comp skills for other stuff.

Is that exclusive educaion program that comes with lenovo worth.

And last question, is the webcam on lenovo better?

What your asking we can not answer. Its like your asking whats better, Kmart or Sears.

We need to know what model Lenovo your looking at. That will tell us what it can do.

The Asus, 1 of 2 options, get it replaced. Sounds like its unstable. Or get a refund. Asus is generally good, but it sounds like you found a bad one.

thnx 4 advice. I'll try that. I bet when I go back they'll say no refunds cuz I opened it.

Lenovo G470A

Asus K43S

it got better but it's wierd that this site didn't work without me using a proxy even though it's not a censored page and worked on another computer. Same for other sites.

if they do give me the refund i might go lenovo cuz another shop comes with a voucher that I can buy a printer with.

they are about equal build quality. I would just try to get the Asus repaired. Sounds like you have a faulty wifi card and either a corrupt driver in the camera, or a faulty camera.
