Brand new build going SLOW? help?

My build is in my signature, for some reason it still goes slow when loading windows and when i barely login it lags it. anyone know what i might have done wrong to make it lag?

What applications do you have set to run when windows starts? I'm thinking theres more to it than that though.

just my realtek audio driver. catalyst from my graphics card, and my printer

maybe your mobo doesnt support that much RAM? I once put a AMD processor in a Intel Mobo, and it ran really slow =P

Nope, his mobo supports all of his parts, up to 8GB ram.

right all is supported. well it runs actually fast as hell now as it should.

it just goes slow when barely logging in.

not sure if anyone does this but i watched it while loading windows xp

it does the little loading bar 4 times and then 6 times after a restart. but when i barely built the computer it went by one and a half times.

is 4 or 6 times slow? lol... anywho.

I use a program called AutoRuns its great, easier to use than msconfig and is pretty self explanatory, try disabling some uneeded process and programs, sould make it all run smoother

my blue line thingy goes like 4-7times... but its a P4 1.4Ghz
