Brief question regarding a MicroATX motherboard

I know it's not technically a great way to start out posting with a noob question, but I've run into a dilemma. I'm building my first computer from the ground up and I'm curious - are ATX 12V 2.0 power supplies compatible with microATX motherboards? If not, I've got to revamp my build.
