Broadband Disconnect

I have tiscali broadband with a classy speedtouch modem. In the last few weeks after 10 mins i get kicked off internet and asked to log in again It then spouts messages like no dial one etc. If I keep pressing reconnect after 5 mins it does let me but again disconnects fater 5 mins!! Any ideas on the prob? I think it might be the modem?

Also want to go wireless. Im a complete beginner what do i need (got the laptop just need help)

Does your phone line hook up to the modem, then the modem to the PC?

Check to make sure that you have filters on each phoneline, I had an issue like this with Verizon DSL. It turned out that I was to far away from the Dispatch line so I kept getting cut off.

Anyways make sure there is filters on each phone line that is used.

Yes it does have a filter on it from the BT socket to the modem cable. This has worked fine for 4/5 months and has just started going intermittent. Can an ISP mess around with this ie restrict your access?
