Broken FireWire Port

Hey all.

I have a Sony Vaio PCG-K215B, and my firewire port recently broke. The teeth inside the port that slot into the cable end, are all bent and broken. Dont ask me how! The Vaio is covered foe everything by a Coverplan but was wondering if anyone knew whether something like that can be fixed or replaced? Or will I be getting a replacement laptop? I think the model I have is not made anymore, Im not sure, so I dont really know what to expect.

I'll ring them up and ask them anyway I just wondered if anybody around here can enlighten me?

Many thanks,

Jamie

You can get a firewire PC card. I would try calling them first, they'll probably fix it for you , if it's under the warranty.
