Hi,
I'm on a mission to find a lcd screen for a Dell Inspiron 9100 I recently purchased for $40. I wanna spend up to a hundred and am having a hard time finding that price on ebay. Is there anyone that knows where to get a cheap one and or is selling one?
thanks,
JTM

Ive got an older white one ill sell you. I think it's a 16". It has a mark down the side of the screen from the previous owner.
If your interested.
$40 shipped.

Is it from a dell and would it work on a 9100? Pics if you could?

Here's 1 picture of it.
I don't see why it wont work with a dell. It has a standard monitor plug on it.

Are you looking for a desktop display or a 15.4" replacement screen? Just any standard desktop lcd will plug right in. You may need a monitor driver from the support site depending on OS or through the Windows update site if going with an external display.

Sorry for the confusion. I am looking for a replacement screen. Not a desktop alternative. Thanks,
JTM

I thought that much. The first link saw a $129- price for a brand new 15.4" replacement screen for that model. Buying another used laptop just to use the screen is not the ideal since that could go fast from age and use with no return for exchange or refund.

If the 9100 there is in reasonably good condition then the $129- is a little over but not too bad a price to see a new screen. You may find it for less elsewhere if not from another laptop. But expect to pay high on replacement parts since laptops are typically "you pay for the convenience and portability".

That's basically what I figured. Thanks for the help and links!

You may find a better price then the $129- at amazon.com or another shopping site. Those were the two that came while searching for that model. But expect that will be about the price range anyways.

hey, try going direct to dell, you may get lucky, it may be still under warranty. mind doubt it. just go to accesories parts and upgrades, that should help you :)

If it's too old and out of warranty more then likely they won't do nothing for you. If it was under a year and simply quit you would pay shipping to see it replaced.
