Browser Hijack?

Hi

I recently installed IE7 on both my laptop and desktop pc and since then i have been restricted to the sites i can visit. every time i try to visit a site like bitcomet.com or download.com it takes me to www.sweden.gov.se very strange i know.

both computers run windows live onecare and one is vista business one is xp pro. i have no idea how and why this has happened but all spyware programs i have tried dont pick the problem up.

its very annoying to say the least. if anyone has a solution or is experiencing the same problem please share.

This could even be a virus what virus scanner are you using? Please let me know as well what spyware programs you are using maybe we can help you.
 
That could be a spyware....

Run a full computer scan with spyware scan and tell us if you've found anything...
 
Hi,

I ran virus/spyware scans with 2 different software (housecall and onecare) and nothing has come up. i find it weird how if it was spyware or a virus why would it take me to the sweedish gov website?
 
That's weird... Have you tried to reinstall IE7??

Might be some settings a friend of yours changed to play a prank on you...Look carefully on the settings, you might find something...
 
checked all the settings and cant find anything .. im the only person who has access to these computers so i dont think any foul play has occured. its just strange it happens to both.

i have tried accessing these sites though different internet connections too thinking it was my network that was corrupt but same result. very puzeling
