i switched to Safari a little while back from using IE7. it's been much more stable for me, but i got a question. Safari doesn't seem to have any prompts for installing ActiveX, Java, etc...

i notice the options only lets you enable/disable it, where IE7 lets you have a prompt for each site. because i use windows, i'm worried about viruses and security issues. am i gonna have a problem?

Well it depends if you go on "weird" websites or not.. :)

Many people will tell you to switch to Firefox, it is safer than any other browser and fully customizable. I'm currently using it and never had any virus/problem with it.

I don't know about that, I have never used Safari

Try to look into settings and preferences
