Thanks bro for you fast response and help apreciate.

+1 for Chrome.

However, how does one get "100 GB of RAM" into such an old laptop?

Probably means 100GB of hard drive space.

I suggest you try out a few browsers and see which ones you like. I like Chrome, but I'd also download maybe Firefox and Opera too and see what you think. Once you've decided which you like best, you can uninstall the others. You could try Safari too but I'd recommend the other 3 over Safari I think...

+1 for Chrome definitely!

Firefox is good but Chrome is better in my experience. I still keep Firefox in case Chrome doesn't work though :).

Thanks guys< i was running IE8 and i did swap for Chrome but there are some things i like better on IE like when you come out off a page on the IE it asks if you want to leave this page inside the forum it ask if you want to leave the page while staying in the forum,in the the Google Chrome i click the X on the corner and it just leaves the forum all together!
also the spell checker is better,

oh the Ram is 1g

So when you relaunch Chrome it doesn't reopen all the pages you had open? Click the Menu and then Settings, then select the option "Continue where I left off" and then next time you reopen Chrome your pages will all be there.

1st choice for low end hardware: Opera.
2nd Choice:Chrome.

Give them both a chance and see what you like better. Either is good really.

Opera isn't a good choice right now because in a few months it will be running WebKit instead of their own engine, and most likely have a lot of the same resource requirements as Chrome.

Well, when they go to webkit, I won't recommend them. Until then, I like it very much for older systems. (used to like them for 2k pro systems, but they dropped support.).
