BSOD drove mr CRAZY!!!!!help needed!!!!

hi all, here is my 3-yr-old desktop PC hardware configuration:
intel i5 2500k quad-core 3.3 Ghz
GTX 560 ti(tried a band new gtx 660 but BSOD persist)
ASUS p8z68 v-LX
PNY ddr3 8GB SDRAM ( bought two weeks ago)
Seagate 500 GB 7200RPM(bought three weeks ago)


Alright, BSOD
i have been in this situation for a long time, so im using a MBP instead of it, now i really want to figure out what is going on with it. this desktop is mainly used for gaming such as NFS17, League of Legend, Call of Duty, NBA 2K14, fisrt time of BSOD happened while i was playing league of legend, system restarted automatically, and i ran the game, BSOD again, so, nightmare started.

and beside this, sometimes it gave me csrss.exe and wininit.exe crashed.
i cleaned up all the dust inside the desktop case, motherboard, Graphic card, and put new thermal grease on the CPU and GPU(some people said it might caused by overheating on those chips), put new HDD, RAM in it, reinstalled the os(win 7 64 bit), updated all the drivers, BIOS updated to version 0703,well, it was good only for couple days of playing League of Legend.later on BSOD persisted. its ok to do web browsing, document editing, but when i try to load an HD video, even on youtube, or run those games i used to play, again, BSOD!!! not immediately but run for a little while, like 3 to 5 minutes.
I tried everything i can do, replace graphic card, RAM, HDD (formated correctly), analyze dump files, but none of them led me to the root of the BSOD issue. hope i can get some useful advice from you guys! PLEASE!!
P.S: a new ASUS p8z77 LGA is on the way, probably will arrive on Tuesday.

hi, have you tried a different psu or RAM? Tried just 1 stick of RAM and see if the problem persists?

as you say its coming on when you start playing LOL or editing etc, so basically when the system is under load and uses a decent amount of RAM, cpu usage and wattage.

id download and run either memtest x86 (burn to disk or usb and boot from boot menu) or download this http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Memory-Tweak/MemTest.shtml

open the program in your case 4 times and allocate 2048mb RAM to each program so its under max load of 8gb on the RAM and leave it to run for a while. it will usually report errors straight away if there are any but id leave it for around an hour just to be safe.

See if you can try get some good known working RAM and PSU and test again.

run this program using the guide on the page and this will test the HDD, i doubt there is anything wrong with it but just to be safe.

open cmd and type in, sfc /scannow
this will scan the system for any corrupt windows files and repair.

to be honest i wouldnt have replaced any parts before knowing 100% whats wrong, most likely at this point id lean to the PSU as you have replaced the RAM, HDD AND GPU, the mobo and cpu are very unlikely and as you say if you put the system under load it BSOD'S so my guess is there is something wrong with the PSU. What is it?

which i feel weird because i just replaced all four Kingston RAM total 16 GB to one PNY 8GB gaming memory, and thermal issue also doesnt make any sense because i claened up everthing thing and even when i play LOL the temperature would remain at CPU:40 C, GPU: 38C, HDD:34C. so i guess thermal issue hypothesis is could be eliminated. otherwise there might be some problem with the memory slots? i will try other slots to see if it work. : ) thanks!

i run the memotest and looks like it crashed again....sigh....
 
well, i can even turn it on now, some sharp quirky sound like "beep,beep" came out from the HDD, sounds like the disk stuck on some where. it said that could be a memory issue so i tried to put the memory on a different slot and can't turn it on any more...
 
It might be the motherboard or it's bios that are flaky then. Have you tried resetting the CMOS jumper or pulling the small coin like battery for a couple of minutes? That might help. Though I have my doubts. But could still be worth a try.

The new mother board and HDD is on the way, I will keep you guys posted. I tried to degraded the BiOS, popped out the small coin like battery, issues persist. And now I'm pretty sure there is one or two bad memory slot. Sigh....
 
Have you tried a different PSU yet? You should start fault finding the PC and be sure what the problem is. With the wasted money you could have bought something to upgrade your PC.

Run the seatools program in my last post. That will tell you if it's the HDD. I doubt it's the RAM slot otherwise it wouldn't work full stop. And I doubt it's the bios otherwise it would have constant failures and not just under load.

It's most likely either the PSU, HDD, RAM or cpu.

LOL that was a lot of fun doing those stuff and finally turned out none of them could fix the issue>
BTW, how many watts would be enough for my rig? i thought 800w may be exceeds too much

800w is plenty but if there is anything wrong with the psu you will get problems like this. it will give you 800w if it is a healthy PSU, if there is something wrong it will stuggle to produce the amps/wattage. im not saying 100% its the PSU but as you have replaced the HDD, RAM etc theres a good chance it could be.

best to try a different PSU and possibly RAM in the house.

not yet because i could not find a proper PSU for it in the bestbuy in met town..
 
You will do fine with a 700 - 750 W too.

Corsair, is a good and reliable brand. Will not brake the bank account either. Try to get a modular one as it will reduce the cable clutter. Wich means improved airflow thru the case.
