BSOD due to overclocking?

So I just bought a new motherboard and processor, and I have been playing with overclocking it. I have a little experience doing it, but I am having BSOD's when I reach about 4.3-4.4 GHZ. I have ran prime95 once at 4.3 and had no errors on any cores, ran it for 7-8 minutes. But it randomly gave me a BSOD. I bumped up the voltage, and it ran fine, but messed up before I got to prime95. Now it won't run at 4.3 very well at all without BSOD and the CPU seems to be perfectly stable. I also did a fresh install of windows 8, twice...the first time my Nvidia drivers refused to install, so i refreshed windows and they went fine. Some research pointed to key files missing, but i have no idea how to read the dump files. So here they are to anyone who can. Thanks for the help!

With sandy bridge on an asrock, make sure you up not only the voltage a bit, but the voltage controls to high or extreme.
Also make sure you have pll overvoltage enabled.
Aside from that, heat is always an enemy make sure you've got a good cooler, installed properly with the right amount (not too much) of thermal paste.
Also, run a few passes of Memtest86+, bad ram will ruin any overclock. If you get errors take it back or RMA it.

Also, you didnt say how you achieved your overclock. I've had your chip stable at 4.5 with a basic noctua cooler, with 100 bclk x 45 multiplier. z77 with corsair pc3 ram is super picky when you up the bclk and must have all settings within pretty tight margins to be stable

I have 100bclk x45 multiplier. I Had XMS3 ram for a while and I had tons of errors with it, so a buddy gave me his vengeance ram and I had no more issues until the OC. It is brand new ram, less than 2 weeks old. If it gives me issues I will return it tomorrow and try something else.

So I ran Memtest all night, and I woke up to 2.3 Million errors. I checked on it last night about half an hour in, and all was well. This morning it was errors nonstop. new ram time I guess.

Yes those BSODs were likely caused by your faulty RAM. Replace it and everything should be fine.

What version of Memtest were you running? The one of the newer versions has a bug that causes it to fail around 42% My RAM fails Memtest at either 42% or 44% but passes 10 hours of Prime 95 and 10 passes of IBT on extreme.

Memtest v4.0. I am going to try to reseat the ram/other ram slots just to be on the safe side, since I can't return it without the receipt my friend has anyway.
