Bsod help!!!

Ok so heres the deal. When I unplug any usb device my computer gets bsod. It also gets bsod at random times. (I hope it doesnt right now yikes)... I have a xps 1640 with windows vista 64 bit.

The bsod mssage is

0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff8ooo35d0b81, 0xfffffa60019d9798, 0xfffffa60019d9170)

I tried installing a windows update and first it said "one or more drivers might not be compatible... MSD5M -- Please read Microsoft Knolege Base article 967752". So I figured what the heck... clicked go and... I got bsod =(

Im starting to get pissed. Please help.

it says ***STOP: 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff8ooo35d0b81, 0xfffffa60019d9798, 0xfffffa60019d9170) ... it has all of the standard stuff before that.

Like this I assume.

In your BIOS is there any settings for ACPI?
