Bsod: Memory_management

I just built my computer last week, and everytime I boot it up, I get the BSOD screen saying "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" and I have to shut it down, then boot it back up to work it. It only happens the first boot every so often. How can I prevent this? From what I understand, it has to do with my RAM, and my RAM is this:

Reading the included description of it, it said it works with i7, i5, and i3. I'm running AMD, and people say it would work fine.

First, what is the make of your motherboard? Asus boards are particularly picky about what RAM can be installed on each and every model version they make. So much so they have a Qualiified Vendors List (QVL) per model board.

Gigabyte also has QVL. And yes, that memory will work on AMD boards.

1. Check your memory against your motherboard's QVL.

2. Check the voltage settings of your memory as set in the BIOS and compare it to the RAM voltage specs.

3. Go to www.memtest.org and download the latest ISO version. It is free and perfectly safe.

Burn ISO to a CD.

Place CD in your drive and reboot with CD in drive. (You might have to place your drive as first bootable in your BIOS) The test will take over.

Let it run for a LONG time. The rule is a minimum of 7 Passes; the more Passes after 7 so much the better. There are 8 individual tests per Pass. Many people will start this test before going to bed and check it the next day.

If you have errors you have corrupted memory and it needs to be replaced.

Also, with errors you need to run this test per stick of RAM. Take out all but one and run the test for 7 Passes. Do this for each stick. If you start getting errors before 7 Passes you know that stick is corrupted and you don’t need to run the test any further on that stick.

Ive been having the same issues and am running memtest86+ as we speak on my desktop, just wondering how it worked out and what u ended up doing.
