so i keep getting driver_irql_not_less_or_equal all the time.

well maybe once every half an hour. sometimes sooner.

it happens sometimes when im gaming. and sometimes just on the desktop.

i recently isntalled a second network card so i was thinking that was the cause. seeing as it is the only thing i have changed recently.

but its still happening.

someone said it could be my ram.

i ran memtest for 90 minutes. (3 passes). nothing. no errors.

what else can i try?

when i get some time ill run memtest overnight.

anything i should be looking at?

thankyou :)

umm try pulling the one network card, or disabling it if its onboard. and remove one stick of ram and try it, then do the same with the other stick. its weird but i have had the problem be the hdd with that same error but the hdd was everytime i tried to access it so im not sure

actually it seems to be the ndis.sys driver file. im thinking i should go into recovery console and reinstall it.

no idea how though. does vista even have a recovery console?

oh and up there i ment i removed that second network card. no idea what the driver was. and i dont wanna put it back in just to see haha

dont you get that error when your cpu or ram comes up with incorrect values?

or maybe that was something else...

either way, i would try running orthos for a few hours.
