I posted maybe a year ago about a friends laptop with BSOD.
I got some very helpful repliesbut can't remeber the name of the utility that fixed it. could it possibly of been 'Blue Screen view'?

Or is this possible, is there a way i can search this forum for any posts the I have made in the past?

Yeah, most likely it was Bluescreen view.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.
 
It was 'blue screen view'. I found the post from last Aug 26th and it was from you.
It turned out that you looked over the BSOD.txt and it was the wi-fi driver. If you don't mind, could i send you the new text when I get my hands on his laptop and send it to you? Or would it be better to just assume that I need to install a newer version of that driver and see if that takes care of it?

Just run bluescreenview and post the results. It may or may not be the wifi driver.

I'm sorry that it's been a week since your last post but I don't understand what you want by 'zip up the C:\ windows\ minidump\mini 060113-01.dmp'

You can't just attach dmp files to your post, that file type isn't allowed. You must zip the file and then attach or you upload the dmp file to a file hosting site and give me the url to it.
 
You need to zip the minidump file, not the results from bluescreenview. Zip this file here and attach to your next post.

Inconclusive results. Getting signs of memory or driver issue. Test your memory first with memtest. I know I had blue screen issues for months before memtest finally gave me memory errors.
