It means it supports lightscribe. With an OEM drive you won't get any software with it.

I saw a Blu-ray player/dvd/cd burner at walmart for like 78 bucks I know that its more than your price range, but it seems like a pretty good deal, and in the future it may come in handy. I tried to find a link for it but couldnt. but i saw it today

Yeah, that's one hell of a deal, regardless of brand or quality. (for walmart)

Around a month ago I called my local Walmart to see if they had any cheap CD/DVD (anything) drives so I could put one in an old system. Dude on the phone told me the cheapest drive he had was $60 for a CD/DVD writer combo. I was so shocked at the ridiculous price that I actually mentioned how expensive it was compared to online. Guy got all curt with me and explained that Walmart charges your first-born son because they have employees to pay. Thought it was pretty funny but odd too, seeing as how Walmart is usually about as cheap as stuff comes with brick and mortars.

It's my personal opinion that they charge that much because clueless computer-ignorant people will buy them. Same goes for Best Buy. Virtually everything in the store is at least close in price to what you could find anywhere else, including online. Except computer stuff, which is double or triple the price as a general rule, if not more. Like the video cards that were low-end 5 years ago selling for $150.

(Ended up getting a used $8 CD/DVD combo drive from a small computer store.)
