Budget build

Hey, built my computer last summer with some help from you guys. Absolutely love it, and my parents see that and now they want me to build one for them.

So far this is what I have, their needs aren't too great, they don't game or really use it for much except work and email.

Important to them is good service in case something breaks and reliable parts.

the budget it a bit flexible, but I wouldn't want to go too much higher then this.

If you have any suggestions or opinions please, I'm all ears =D

Hmm.... The HDD is very very slow. Get a 16mb cache at min also make sure the hdd drives, dvd drives are okie with the mother board as well as make sure the PSU supports it too. Also I would wait for XP SP3 and give them free linux for the wait.

I've gone with this hard drive instead. I can actually get it for the same price with the case in a combo deal.

The mobo I realize I need to change any suggestions.

I prefer onboard gfx and audio

That motherboard is actually quite good for the price, Asus boards are among the best. You'll struggle to find a full ATX motherboard with integrated graohics.

I'll second the Antec Earthwatts 380w, I put one in a PC for a friend and while I think we're putting quite a lot of load on it it just keeps on going. The Seagate drive is actually faster than the WD drives and in some cases faster than a Raptor.

$550 or so budget...
